
As a premiere obstetrical team, we provide our patients with comprehensive care throughout pregnancy, labor, delivery and the postpartum period. Our physicians and midwife use evidenced-based practice guidelines set forth by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) to provide excellent care for our patients. Our practitioners ensure patient-centered care in a trusted and respected environment so that our patients can make informed decisions knowing that they were provided with all possible options and choices. It is important to our providers that our patients feel that during their visits that they feel heard and understood. As women practitioners we seek to empower our patients to obtain the birth they desire while providing medical guidance and when complications arise providing options to ensure the safe delivery of a healthy mother and baby.
Pregnancy Confirmation:
- You will meet with one of physicians to confirm your pregnancy
- Labs may be drawn
- Prenatal vitamins will be prescribed
Initial visit:
- Congratulations! You’re expecting, we will confirm your due date with an ultrasound
- Routine prenatal labs will be performed
- You will receive information about genetic testing
- You will be given nutritional information and counseling
- You will be given a prescription for prenatal vitamins if you have not already started them
- An annual exam with PAP testing and breast exam may be performed
First Trimester (weeks 1-12)
- Results are reviewed from your prenatal labs with you
- Free cell DNA genetic testing can be done at this time
- NT scan is performed
Second Trimester ( weeks 13-24)
- MSFAP is performed to screen for Down’s Syndrome and open neural tube defects
- Anatomy ultrasound
- Fetal heartbeat checks at each visit with doppler
Third Trimester (weeks 25-42)
- Glucose testing week 28
- TDAP after 28 weeks for Pertussis protection for baby
- Growth scan as needed week 32
- GBS and HIV testing week 36
- 40 weeks ultrasound and bi weekly testing for postdates
Post-Partum period
- 2 week incision check for mother’s with cesarean section
- 6 week post partum check for vaginal delivery
- Any time for breastfeeding or postpartum depression
